The current HOA Board changes appear to have a positive effect on the community. Property values around our community show signs of improvement even in a down and shaky economy. This season the sprinker system was actually working for the first time in years! Finally the extended pool hours are a welcome change.

Changes, Changes, Changes and more changes.  (YES ITS COMING)

5-1-2011

The Morrison Plantation development has taken a turn for the better with a newly elected HOA board.  These are people interested in improving and protecting the Morrison Plantation development, its reputation, and improving house values within the development.  The new HOA board is much more open than before.  Answers and solutions are coming forward when available and these individuals are working hard and devoting their own personal time toward improving the development.  Keep in mind this is going to take time and effort and its a learning experience discovering all the underlying problems but the future looks bright for our development.  A little effort and understanding by everyone contributing to getting Morrison Plantation back on track will go a long way in raising house values in our development to where they should be.

What are the positives to Morrison Plantation?

Post Office is within the development making for easy mailing of items.  This isnt only convenient for mailing items but should you run a home based business you have quick and easy access to mailing items.  Gas prices are huge if you need to bring items further it only cuts into your profit lines.

We have good food, healthcare, banking within walking distance for most.  Some of the best places to eat are located within a mile or two of our development.  Being as central as we are provides the most home delivery of any development in Mooresville.

YMCA (Second Largest in the Nation is within Walking Distance)  Were also close to Jet Fitness a 24 hour gym.  A gym for those who get the urge or need a gym thats open around the clock.

Easiest access of any development in Mooresville to RT 77 and 150 by multiple means at least 3 quick routes by passing much of the traffic and with a new exit were also far enough away that we dont get highway noise like other developments in Mooresville.  We have so many ways to get to our development I can’t imagine how much time is lost for those poor souls who live down Brawley school road.

The only real downside to our development is the lack of Boat Ramps and dry storage the developers of Morrison Plantation promised the people of this development.  For whatever reason they chose not to put in these amenities only hurt themselves financially and ruined their reputation as developers.  Now they will have to sell land well below the value it could achieve and any future real estate endeavors they pursue will be met with skepticism and negativity. I’m not sure who would financially back these developers in future endeavors with their uncorrected track record.  If they go on to develop elsewhere they will have significantly devalued their development due to their poor reputation and trust as developers.  Charlotte is too small of a city to do bad business in.

Even with that said our developments future looks bright again with the newly formed HOA and house values should improve as a result and be higher due the convenience factors our development has over many others in the Mooresville area.
